Entries for the 2012 Gardener of the Year close tonight!

If you are a passionate gardener, this is your last chance to get your entry in.

This year, judges will select four finalists from entries received. The finalists will be showcased in the November 2012 issue of ABC Gardening Australia Magazine and on Gardening Australia on ABC1.

To decide the winner, your vote will count. That's right - your vote decides who receives the coveted Golden Spade as 2012 Gardener of the Year. Details on how to vote will be in the November 2012 issue of the Gardening Australia Magazine.

TAKE A VIRTUAL TOUR IN THE BURRA RANGE, QLD

As part of the ABC Open initiative for regional Australia, producer Michael Bromage went on a day trip with the Society of Growing Australian Plants (Townsville) to the Burra Range, 250km west of Townsville QLD and made a video to document the amazing beauty in this remote part of the country.

To escape the winter blues, you can take a virtual tour and see these amazing wildflowers they discovered.
